05.05.2020 - mafia government and disposable humanity

Unfortunately, a job offer is not a guarantee of work

That’s what they told me on the phone yesterday. I am fucked off now. With Serco for messing me around for weeks, with our government failing so spectacularly (we no have the highest death toll in Europe for confirmed covid cases, over 32,000), and with our opposition party, which I am currently a member of but probably not for much longer, for their refusal to oppose (Kier Starmer, “we need constructive opposition, rather than opposing for its own sake), and our news media completely failing to scrutinize our government at all. I’m going to put two screen grabs from BBC News’ twitter feed today, with no mention of our death toll, the second highest in the world.

I just don’t know what to make of it. How long can this go on? How much worse do things need to get. It’s like this isn’t a real country, just shell, or a dying cash cow. The other day we talked about cynical conspiracy theories, but the truth is much worse. We live in a mafia state, enforced by collusion between branches of the establishment. There is a widely reported revolving door between politics and journalism. I made a long list, but it wasn’t great reading, so just consider Boris Johnson, Michael Gove, George Osborne, Nick Clegg, were all journalists, George even edited the Standard while sitting as an MP and the ancient leather handbag brought to life with dark vitomancy by Mammon, the demon of wealth and greed, known as ‘Nigel Lawson’ was from the 50s – 70s, and named his female spawn after himself. Oh yeah, Michael Portillo and Ed Balls, in their entertaino-journalism shows slug men on ice or whatever

This is by no means exhaustive. The job of journalists, we’re told, is to hold power to account, but how can they if they are the same people, or if they go to the same dinner parties and masonic lodges.

The list goes on, and it works another way. How many politicians fail up into huge corporate salaries? A lot. Off the top of my head, there’s Nick Clegg at Facebook, David Miliband now runs a charity for a cool $1m a year, Nadahim Zahawi was paid A LOT of money by Gulf Keystone Petroleum (look into it) while sitting as an MP, as was Alan Duncan when he was paid £8000 a month by Fajairah Refining in the UAE for three weekend meetings a year, Owen Smith was a big pharma lobbyist. David Cameron went to the US financial services company First Data Corporation. How can these politicians effectively regulate these industries while taking money off them, or hope to work for them one day, and probably already know each other from Jeff Epstein’s parties, or use the same colonic irrigationist.

FYI, the Jeffry Epstein thing is not a joke.

So the media give the politicians an easy time, who give the corporations one too, in fact they are all each other. Presumably, this is why objectively terrible companies like Serco, I’ll tell you how bad they treat staff in a sec, run most of our public services, or why Chris Grayling gave a ferry company a £50m contract despite the fact they didn’t have any boats, the Carillion scam, why the price of Crossrail goes up and up and never opens, why fucking G4S is running prisons for profit. Wait a sec, if you’re not aware, and this is true, private companies like Sodexo, Serco and G4S run and detention centres (which lock up migrants without trial) and prisons for profit they pay out to share holders. Yes, there is a profit incentive to put people in jail in the UK. People make money off putting people in prison, so… does that mean the more people get put into prison they more money they make? It definitely incentives cost cutting. Sounds like someone should look into that. In the US, where they can get round the 13th amendment of their constitution which bans slavery by putting people in jail, they call this the prison industrial complex. I’m no constitutional expert, but I have heard of the Magna Carta, which contains this clause –

No free man shall be seized or imprisoned, or stripped of his rights or possessions, or outlawed or exiled, or deprived of his standing in any other way, nor will we proceed with force against him, or send others to do so, except by the lawful judgement of his equals or by the law of the land. To no one will we sell, to no one deny or delay right or justice.

“To no one will we sell justice.”

How long till we have privatised courts? That was another story I imaged years ago, about Chicken Cottage buying up shares in the UK court system, and wielding more and more power until the UK became a chick-ocracy. In 2013 Chris Grayling was actually talking about doing just that.

I guess it explains PFI, why RBS was sold off just as it made profit, so the public took all the debt, why £445bn of quantative easing (almost £7000 per person in the UK) was spent buying up shares inflating prices by 20%, making the rich, who used the money to by more shares, richer and inflating our fake economy. Instead of just giving people a fraction of that money to do more good, they put us in billions of pounds of debt to make their mates richer, it’s fraud. This stuff goes on and on and on, I just wonder when it’s too much. This mafia style of running a country is now killing a lot of people. The same system lets the government lie and lie with no consequences. I just don’t understand it.

These things are all conspiracy theories but they’re all true, which is why I think it is so dangerous to dismiss the term out of hand. It’s a bit like that ‘support the troops’ propaganda we talked about, it diverts scrutiny.

So yeah, I’m depressed at the state of our pathetic country, I’m angry about how my future has been stolen and the way people are so easily manipulated into thinking we’re such an amazing country because we have ‘great’ in the name, and Boris is supposed to be funny.

I'm also depressed about this car wash that seems to have opened up outside my flat.

So Serco. Yeah, they’ve fucked me over, and because everyone in this country seems to be on zero hours contracts there’s not a lot you can do.

I was offered the hospital porter job almost three weeks ago and since then I’ve been chasing them for a start date. The other day they said I was on the rota but the hours will change week by week. I finally managed to get hold of someone yesterday who said it might be a while, they don’t know how long, till I’m needed as a porter, but there is a cleaning job if I want it.

I ticked everything on the application but cleaning, so that’s catering, giving out food in the ward, or portaring. I didn’t want to do cleaning work, not because I think I’m above it, but I’m very squeamish and I’m not sure I could handle cleaning up blood and stuff. But I thought about it, and decided I could do a couple of shifts while I wait for the portering job I wanted to open up, and actually it might be ok. I might realise I quite enjoy it, could probably listen to audio books while I work, so I agreed to do the training. The only other thing I said I didn’t want to do in the application was nights, I’m happy starting really early, or working evenings till 9 or 10, but nights are a bit much, and I’m doing this course, so I have to be on form on Saturdays through the day. The only shift they offered me, after training from 10am Wednesday till 7PM, was 10pm Thursday till 7am. I said I couldn’t do it, because I’m on this stimulant medication, and I need to keep regular hours. So they said don’t come to the training then. So I’m just back to waiting.

On the phone, they said, being offered a job doesn’t guarantee getting any hours.

I haven’t carried on job hunting, because I thought I had a decent job lined up, I didn’t claim benefits or anything, so I’m out of pocket because Serco, I don’t think this is too strong a word, lied to me. So I’m fucked off about that too. I can’t believe they treat people that way. So when you’re clapping on Thursday for health workers (which I’m not sneering about, I think it’s really nice), don’t forget how they’re actually treated.

I guess I need to keep looking for jobs, which is horrible.

When did people become disposable?

Everywhere I look, it’s that same nonce mentality. Just using people without a thought.

Which reminds me, I've been observing a disgusting greasy John and the prostitute, who is actually really nice, he visits. I'll try and remember to do a little portrait of them tomorrow.
